I'm an interdisciplinary artist and performer. Mostly I work in collaborative, non hierarchical devised theatre but I also write and perform as a solo artist and make memes.
I was born in Brisbane/Meanjin, grew up in Maleny/Gubbi Gubbi Land, Studied in Brisbane then Perth/ Boorloo then London, New York, London and back to Brizzy as the pandemic hit to be closer to my Mum.
As a queer artist working full time in social work, I am drawn to use my art as a way of processing the increasingly bizarre experience of living life. I value art which is ridiculous, silly, welcoming and which respects the power of holding an audience.
I hold a BA from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and an MA from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London; where I studied under artists such as Rash Dash, Lucy McCormick, Seke Chimutengwende and Ned Bennett.
I am one quarter of Hot Cousin, an internationally based, trashy, gossip hungry, anxiety ridden, contradiction laden party of four.
Outside of the arts I work as a Peer Support Worker helping to run a Community Centre for people experiencing mental 'illness' and distress. I have a lot of experience running workshops and facilitating groups with our community. Ask me about it because I love talking about it!
